  • Test for measuring corneal curvature

    • This test is one of the cylindrical eye tests using a device called a keratometer. This tool serves to measure the reflection of light on the surface of the cornea and then determine whether the eye has astigmatism or cylindrical eyes.
After conducting a cylindrical eye test, the doctor will provide further treatment, namely by prescribing glasses or special lenses for people with cylindrical eyes. In addition, the doctor may also recommend surgery, according to the condition of the cylindrical eye suffered by the patient. A cylindrical eye test needs to be done especially if you experience certain symptoms, such as headaches, tired eyes, and faint or blurred vision that occurs in various directions, both diagonally, vertically, and horizontally. If that happens, you should immediately consult an eye doctor to get the right treatment.
